Boudreaux & Thibodeaux's copy for Red

The building previously housing Boudreaux & Thibodeaux's, on Third Street, will be taken over by a new affordably-priced cocktail bar.

Boudreaux & Thibodeaux’s, the Cajun-themed bar in downtown Baton Rouge, is now serving food on weekdays.

Chad Diaville, the owner of Boudreaux & Thibodeaux’s, said lunch will be served 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Boiled crawfish will be served from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays.

The menu includes crawfish etouffee, sliders with curly fries, fried seafood plates, and crawfish and boudin balls. Dishes range from $4-$15.

Diaville said he’s looking at making more changes, such as seeing if he can allow families to eat on the second floor of the bar and opening a space above Boudreaux & Thibodeaux’s to serve as an event hall for wedding receptions and other parties.

“The one big concept is for this to be the Cajun place downtown,” he said. “We want it to be more family oriented.”
