BRSO @Home Performance #32! BRSO Principal Bassist John Madere is back with another original electronic work, “Distant Learning.” From the composer: This piece was "inspired" by the distance learning that was forced upon music teachers due to the current pandemic. All instruments were looped into the Electro-Harmonix 95000 Looper. Instruments used include a lap harp, electric guitar, electric bass and a drum machine.


BRSO @Home Number 31! Veronica Parrales and Jason Mathena perform an excerpt of the “La Folia” variations on a theme by Geminiani, by Arcangelo Corelli. Originally for violin and orchestra, adapted for cello and marimba from a piano reduction by Orfeo Mandozzi.


BRSO @Home #30 - Cellists Joy Keown Bedillion and Dragos Filip with a killer, distance collaboration of the Third Movement of the Barrière Cello Sonata for Two Cellos.


BRSO @Home #29 - Violinist Kelly Smith Toney performs “Anadolia” by Stephen Foster. This piece is based on the appropriately titled “Old Folks at Home!”


BRSO @Home #28 - Principal Keyboard Richard Jeric performs Chopin's Nocturne in C-sharp minor, Op. 27, No. 1.


BRSO @Home #27! BRSO bassistGeorge Thompson with his original composition "Hymn" ©Thompsongs 2020. From the composer: I wrote this short piece as a spiritual reflection on the times, it ends with a question. My daughter, Sarah, compiled the video montage from pictures of cathedrals she took when she was an exchange student in Milan.

Today is our 18th @Home Concert! Featured once again are Veronica Parrales and Jason Mathena performing “Le Cygne” or "The Swan" from Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns.


Day 17 of the BRSO @Home Series! Principal Oboe James Ryon originally created this short arrangement for a BRSO children's concert demo in 2004. He recently created this short video for his oboe students at the Univ. of N. Texas, as an illustration of overdub recording using Zoom meeting software and Adobe Premiere.


Day 16 of the BRSO @Home Concert Series features Veronica Parrales and Jason Mathena. They are performing their own arrangement of Novelette by Dmitri Kabalevsky.
