#MovieNightBR at Town Square
On tomorrow night, the DDD, Arts Council, and 225 Magazine will bring the 2nd installment of downtown's own outdoor movie night, #movienightBR (Halloween Edition)! We'll have music from 6PM-7PM, and a screening of Hocus Pocus will begin at 7PM!

Red Stick Revelry Celebrity Event
Please join Mayor-President Melvin "Kip" Holden for a Red Stick Revelry fireworks fundraising event this Wednesday at Stroube's Celebrity Waiter Event! Red Stick Revelry is Baton Rouge's Premier FREE New Year's Eve celebration that includes live music and a spectacular firework show leading up to the midnight countdown and the ball drop in North Boulevard Town Square.

Sunday in the Park with Seth Walker

Louisiana Book Festival at the State Museum & Capitol
The Louisiana Center for the Book in the State Library of Louisiana is proud to present the 11th edition of this free, world-class literary celebration - The Louisiana Book Festival. Come join the fun from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. downtown at the State Library of Louisiana, the State Capitol, the Capitol Park Museum and nearby locations.

Halloween Parade
10/31 Consortium is excited to host the annual Halloween Parade on Saturday, November 1 in downtown Baton Rouge. The parade celebrates community, courage and creativity and is great for all ages! This year the theme is "Dia de los Muertos," or "Day of the Dead." With a very much alive parade featuring floats, costumes, sweet trats and more, the parade is sure to be a spook-tacular blast for the whole family!
The parade starts at 2PM near Pastime Restaurant.

Fall Fitness Series
The YMCA's FREE Zumba class is offered to both members and non-members of the YMCA. All classes will be held at the Town Lawn in North Boulevard Town Square on Tuesday and Thursdays at 5PM. In the case of inclement weather, the classes will be moved inside the YMCA (521 Third St.).

Old State Capitol
Secretary of State Tom Schedler and Louisiana's Old State Capitol invite you to come pass a good time at a reception, book signing and author lecture for Southeast Louisiana Food: A Seasoned Tradition. With interviews and family recipes, authors Jeremy and Addie K. Martin will be on hand to present the history behind this enchanting culinary tradition. The event will take place on Thursday, November 6th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is free as well as open to the public.

Market 18th Anniversary Celebration
Join the market downtown at 5th and Main to celebrate 18 years of connecting farmers and shoppers in downtown Baton Rouge. The anniversary will take place during the regular Mainstreet Market hours between 8am and noon with the anniversary cake cutting at 9:30AM. Special guest chef Peter Sclafani of Ruffino's will prepare a seasonal fall recipe inside Main Street Market beginning at 10AM with sampling to follow. Blody Marys and mimosas will add to the celebratory fun. Kids activities will also include a cupcake walk.
