Attention downtown residents, workers, and neighbors! The new Matherne's Market has expanded its hours for your convenience! Free parking is available on the Fourth Street entrance to Matherne's customers.

FREE admission to the LSU Museum of Art, the Louisiana Art & Science Museum, and the USS Kidd make downtown Baton Rouge the place to be every first Sunday of the month. Also, the LASM features reduced admission to planetarium shows and exhibits. 1PM-5PM.

Of Moving Colors Presents: Kick It Out 2015
Of Moving Colors is back for their first performance of the year. OMC's 6th annual community performance will feature children from around the city onstage alongside the professionals. There will be 90 minutes of classic entertainment to the sounds of the Motown and Rat Pack Era. Get your tickets inside the Shaw Center for the Arts.

Art After Hours: A World of Dreams, Landscapes by Tula Telfair
Tula Telfair paints monumental landscapes and epic-scale vistas that act as windows into another world - a dream world - where everything seems familiar yet remains beyond grasp. Instead of documenting actual sites, Telfair combines invented images with a variety of formal painterly techniques to achieve highly convincing yet fictitious illusions that invite contemplation upon the relationship between humankind and the environment.

Art in Action: Yoga in the Galleries
Need to unwind? Find your balance with Yoga in the Galleries. Participants will be led through a yoga class in the Museum gallery while surrounded by the inspiring works of famed sports illustrator LeRoy Neiman, known for his rendering of athleticism and human posture. The Red Stick Peace Makers will continue this class on January 15, 22, 29, and again on February 5. Drop-ins are $15 per class, or participants can pay $40 for the four-class bundle. With Valentine's Day approaching, the class will also feature couple's yoga on Thursday, February 12, with wine and chocolate. Couples yoga is $40 for Museum members and $50 for nonmembers. Tickets can be purchased in the Museum Store. Call (225) 389-7209 for more information.

Superbowl Saturday at the Market
Shop the Markets this Saturday for all of your Super Bowl party necessities. You'll find select fresh produce, king cakes, prepared foods including ready to serve appetizers, cheeses, breads, and dips. The Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration will feature Malcolm Young, owner of Malco's Magnificent Salsa, with tips for making easy party dishes featuring his salsa combined with Iverstine Farm's meats to serve for the Big Game. Gather in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market at 10AM to watch the demonstration and sample the food. Student violinists from the studio Danis Salassi will also perform inside Main Street Market from 9AM to 10:30AM.
