Krewe of Artemis Parade
The Krewe of Artemis presents it's 13th Annual Parade on Friday, February 6th beginning at 7PM. This year's theme is "Its Always a Party with Artemis". The parade will follow its traditional route through downtown Baton Rouge.

Krewe of Mystique Parade
The Krewe of Mystique de la Capitale welcomes you to the 2015 Mardi Gras Parade, as they celebrate 38 years of parading in Louisiana's capital city. They are the city's oldest parading Mardi Gras Krewe in Baton Rouge. The theme for this year's parade will be: "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend." The Grand Marshall for this year's parade will be Whitney Vann, who will be repeating that honor from years ago.

Krewe of Orion Parade
The Krewe of Orion's 17th annual Mardi Gras parade will roll through downtown Baton Rouge on Saturday, February 7th at 6:30PM. Rollin' with the theme of "Heroes and Villains," each float will be decorated to depict its well known theme. Marching bands, as well as riding and marching units will be among the great sights and sounds at this wonderful parade.

Krewe of Mutts
2015 Mystic Krewe of Mutts celebrates Comic Book Canines, its 16th annual parade. The Krewe of Mutts is a family-oriented, fun-filled, parade and promises all a very special day. Mardi Gras colored costumes and pet-sized floats will roll along North Boulevard on Sunday, February 8th at 1:30PM.

BRAVE Program Meeting
The Downtown Development District is hosting a neighborhood information meeting about the BRAVE program on Wednesday, February 4th at 5:30PM. The meeting will be held at the DDD office, 247 Florida Street. Hebert "Tweety" Anny, BRAVE Director will be giving a brief overview and update about this initiative. The Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination (BRAVE) program is designed to reduce or eliminate violence in Baton Rouge by targeting one specific area at a time. All downtown residents and business owners are welcome.

Family Dinner Comedy Troupe at Hartley/Vey Theatre
From the people who brought you Spoof Night! with Films at Manship comes a brand new Improv Show! Hang out with Baton Rouge's premier comedy troupe in our Hartley/Vey Studio Theatre for some live Improv Games. We have no idea what to expect, but there is only one way to find out.

Art in Action: Yoga in the Galleries
Need to unwind? Find your balance with Yoga in the Galleries. Participants will be led through a yoga class in the Museum gallery while surrounded by the inspiring works of famed sports illustrator LeRoy Neiman, known for his rendering of athleticism and human posture. Drop-ins are $15 per class, or participants can pay $40 for the four-class bundle. With Valentine's Day approaching, the class will also feature couple's yoga on Thursday, February 12, with wine and chocolate. Couples yoga is $40 for Museum members and $50 for nonmembers. Baton Rouge Arts Market
The Baton Rouge Arts Market takes place every first Saturday of the month from 8:00AM until 12:00PM at 5th and Main Streets in Downtown Baton Rouge. Featuring artists from Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Florida will present original works of art in a variety of mediums including, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, textiles, photographs, glass, paintings, sculpture, hand-made soaps and so much more.

Shop this Saturday for Louisiana strawberries, citrus, artisan baked goods, meats, cheese and more. The East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners are back with tips on planting spring gardens along with the market's green nurseries with native plants. Inside Main Street Market, the Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration features fresh and local ingredients from the market in seasonal recipes at 10AM. Plus, the Arts Market also returns with over 60 artisans from Gulf South.
