Roger McGuinn at Manship
Mr. Tambourine Man not only lived history, he made history with his fearless sense of experimentation. As the leader of the influential 60s group, The Byrds, he was on the leading edge, combining the rock beat of the Beatles with the folk sensibilities of Bob Dylan, to create the genre known as "folk-rock." Roger's solo career began in 1973 and has yielded 10 albums, a Grammy nomination, and extensive touring and performing for enthralled audiences ever since. Roger can provide an educational seminar which includes aspects of rock history, musical techniques, and computer techniques he uses in recording.

Since 1999, the Mardi Gras Mambo has hosted Baton Rouge's best 10k race! That tradition continues on February 21, 2015 with a new 10k, 15K and Fun Run race course that features the best of downtown Baton Rouge, City Park and the LSU lakes. KIDD Keynotes
February is American Heart Month and the USS KIDD Veterans Museum has partnered with the American Heart Association to present a free lecture that will address the importance of heart health on Saturday, Feb. 21, at 11AM, in the museum lobby. Guests are encouraged to wear red in support of the American Heart Association. Call (225) 342-1942 if you would like to be one of the 15 donors needed for LifeShare Blood Center's blood drive happening in front of the museum immediately following the lecture.

New Venture Theatre: Sophisticated Ladies
The musical legacy of The Duke is celebrated in this stylish and brassy presentation that has taken audiences and critics alike by storm throughout the world. Father Daughter Sweetheart Dance
Since 1993, dads and daughters from the Greater Baton Rouge community have attended the Foundation's annual Father/Daughter Sweetheart Dance. This event has grown consistently each year, hosting 100 attendees in its first year to more than 1,200 in 2013. Funds raised through this dance benefit the patients and families served by Baton Rouge General. Please join this wonderful event at the River Center.
