St. Jude Run for the Children 5K This family friendly event is going to "RUN to SUMMER FUN" through downtown Baton Rouge. The whole family can enjoy participating in the 5K run or 1 mile fun run/walk. When your race is over there will be live entertainment, food, and fun. Awards will be given for the overall top male and female finishers, as well as the fasted three male and female in each group.

Capoeira in Town Square Join Capoeira Baton Rouge in North Boulevard Town Square at Galvez Plaza for FREE basic Capoeira classes on Wednesdays at 7PM and Sundays at 6PM. Capoeira is a Brazilian art form which combines fight, dance, and rhythmic movements that are performed in a dialog between players. Students can expect to learn basic Capoeira movements and acrobatics in order to enhance ones flexibility and general muscle strength. Most of the classes start with a brief warm-up and learning Capoeira, movements through strength, technique, history, and music.
