Peace Fest 2015
The 5th Peace Day Festival Baton Rouge will be held June 6, 2015. Come join area yoga instructors, yoga studios, and healing artists to celebrate solidarity and peace in the Baton Rouge community as well as throughout the world. This year's event will feature the Global Mala practice, AcroYoga, Hooping, Community Art, Live Art, Massage, Reiki, Children's Yoga and Activities, Local Merchants and Food Vendors, and a Live Music Concert!

The 4th Annual Friends of the Capitol Park Museum fundraiser "Night At The Capitol Park Museum - The Flavour of Louisiana" Presented by: The Louisiana Lottery. Present your taste buds the beloved foods from south to north Louisiana as you travel from one delectable tasteful exhibit to the next. Music will be provided by the Michael Foster Project.

Food Network Star Premiere Party
Join Food Network Star Season 11 Finalist Jay Ducote for the viewing party of the premiere episode! The show airs on Food Network from 8-9 PM Central. Join the party at the Jolie Pearl Oyster Bar and in North Boulevard Town Square from 5-9 PM. There will be food and booze sampled and more available for purchase. Hana, Joey and Chuck from The Anteeks will be playing as Bonnie & Clyde from 6-7:45. This is a party you won't want to miss! No tickets or anything, just invite a bunch of friends and show up! The show will be on all the TVs inside of Jolie Pearl and on the beacon in Town Square. You can bring chairs and picnic blankets and set up in Town Square. Come early if you want to claim table space in Jolie Pearl!

The Baton Rouge Arts Market showcases original, hand-made works every first Saturday of the month from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at 5th and Main Streets. Shop for the spring season with over 60 artists from Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Florida who will present original works of art in a variety of mediums including, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, textiles, photographs, glass, paintings, sculpture, hand-made soaps and so much more.

Capoeira in Town Square
Join Capoeira Baton Rouge in North Boulevard Town Square at Galvez Plaza for FREE basic Capoeira classes on Wednesdays at 7PM and Sundays at 6PM. Capoeira is a Brazilian art form which combines fight, dance, and rhythmic movements that are performed in a dialog between players. Students can expect to learn basic Capoeira movements and acrobatics in order to enhance ones flexibility and general muscle strength. Most of the classes start with a brief warm-up and learning Capoeira, movements through strength, technique, history, and music. By doing Capoeira people get connected with Brazilian and African culture.

Summer Fresh Fest at the Market
The Markets celebrate the beginning of our summer long Fresh Fest with Dairy Day this Saturday. Shop for locally made milk, chocolate milk, butter and gourmet cheeses from farmers as well as homemade gelato. You can eve sample homemade ice cream made with Feiciana's Best Creamery milk. This weekend's Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration features chef Mark Reilly of Stroube's Restaurant. The Lagniappe Dulcimers Society will also be inside Main Street Market beginning at 8AM to entertain shoppers.
