Plan for the July 4th Weekend!
Independence Day is right around the corner and now is the time to make plans to attend the USS KIDD's 4th of July Spectacular! The USS KIDD's 4th of July Spectacular, presented by Doug Olinde LLC, is the place to be as friends and families gather to commemorate our nation's independence while enjoying ice cold drinks, delicious food and a variety of musical performances, VIP viewing of the "Fireworks on the Mississippi" presented by WBRZ! Be sure to make reservations at one of our downtown hotels and restaurants!

Don't miss third-generation Cajun fiddler, Ann Vidrine, and The Cajun Experience lecture and performance. Watch a demonstration of how to make an old-fashioned fiddle bow. Learn some everyday Cajun French words, explore Louisiana's State Symbols and hear some authentic Cajun fiddling! Ages 5 to 11!

Long Summer Nights: Junior Brown
Come out to the Manship Theatre to see the American Original, Junior Brown. Tickets are on sale now for this cant miss show! Prior to the show, there will be a solo concert by Ben Bell & The Stardust Boys in the Jones Walker Foyer. The Manship Theatre Bar will be open at this time for a pre-show cocktail.

Wine Walk Wednesdays
Wine Walk Wednesday is a open group of wine lovers coming together in Downtown Baton Rouge every Wednesday. A special one-day weekend work day where people from the local area can come aboard and assist in the preservation of this National Historic Landmark. No prior military experience is needed. Corn & Squash-Tastic at the Market
Celebrate summertime's sweet corn and multiple squash varieties at the Red Stick Farmers Market this Saturday. You'll find the popular yellow crookneck squash variety, as well as zucchini, golden squash, patty pan squash, and butternut squash. During the Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration, chef Derrick Beverly with the Louisiana Culinary Institute will offer recipe ideas for using summer's bountiful squash and corn harvest. The Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration begins at 10AM inside the North entrance to Main Street Market.
