July 4th Weekend! Independence Day is Saturday and now is the time to make plans to attend the USS KIDD's 4th of July Spectacular! The USS KIDD's 4th of July Spectacular, presented by Doug Olinde LLC, is the place to be as friends and families gather to commemorate our nation's independence while enjoying ice cold drinks, delicious food and a variety of musical performances, VIP viewing of the "Fireworks on the Mississippi" presented by WBRZ! Star Spangled Saturday at the Market Pick up everything you need for a fresh and local 4th of July celebration at the Market this Saturday. You'll find sweet corn, watermelon, blueberries, squash, tomatoes and meats for the grill. Chef Celeste will have great holiday party menu ideas during the 10 am Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration inside Main Street Market. There will also be face painting for the kids and complimentary American flags courtesy of the DAR while supplies last.

Patriot Photos on the Beacon The Downtown Development District is proud to honor our Patriots on the Beacon! Send us a picture of those that have generously served in the military and we will honor them on the North Boulevard Town Square Beacon. Send in a photo of them to ddd@brgov.com by Wednesday, July 1st at 5PM and we will gratefully acknowledge them on the beacon screens on the 4th of July. American patriotic music will play throughout the day!

Baton Rouge Concert Band: Independence Day Concert Baton Rouge Concert Band (BRCB) is a non-profit community organization dedicated to the cultural enrichment of the Greater Baton Rouge area. Composed local musicians who volunteer their time and talents. BRCB is currently under the direction of Sheily Bell, Conductor, and Daniel Modenbach, Assistant Conductor. The concert will begin at 7:30PM at the steps of the State Capitol.!

Wine Walk Wednesdays Wine Walk Wednesday is a open group of wine lovers coming together in Downtown Baton Rouge every Wednesday. In order to participate for the wine walk you will need to pay $10, then receive your wine bracelet and a wine card for the list of venues and the number of tasting. Must be 21 years of age.
