Art Melt
Forum 35's Art Melt is the largest multi-media, juried art exhibit in the state of Louisiana. Now in its 12th year, Art Melt strives to promote professional artists throughout the state of Louisiana while providing an opportunity for the public to experience the best of local fine art, music, and performing arts. This show is open to Louisiana resident artists only. Art Melt is FREE and open to the public. The exhibit will open July 25, 2015 at the Capitol Park Museum in downtown Baton Rouge from 5-9PM, and outdoor festivities including the Arts Marketplace will continue until 10 PM.

Baton Rouge Restaurant Week
Treat yourself to some of the tastiest food the Capital City has to offer. Starting Monday July 20th through the 25th, DIG Magazine's Restaurant Week gives you a chance to grab some great food at half the cost. Over 50 of the best dining experiences from across the city are showcased.Participating downtown restaurants are Lucy's Retired Surfer Bar, Capital City Grill, Blend Wine Bar, Restaurant IPO, Camelot Club, and Stroube's.

River Center: Dinner N' Show!
Tim Rushlow the former songwriter and lead singer for Little Texas has sold over 11 Million albums. He has also written a number of Billboard hit songs for other artists. Rushlow in the Round is an intimate songwriters night. Tim is bringing two of the top songwriters from Nashville with him and the three will discuss the inspiration and interesting antidotes behind their big hit songs, and then perform them live. It's a special night of great food and country music. Dinner will feature passed appetizers, Fire & Ice salad, BBQ Chicken, Tennessee Smokehouse Beef Brisket, Spinach & Artichoke stuffed Beefsteak Tomatoes, fresh Blackberry Cobbler with Grand Mariner Cream, Lemon Bundt Cake with Citrus icing and Rum Strawberries, coffee, & tea. Cool as a Cucumber at the Market
Beat the heat this Saturday as Red Stick Farmers Market's summer Fresh Fest continues with Cool as a Cucumber. Head inside Main Street Market at 10 am to watch Tsunami sushi chef Ricky Hoang showcase his expert knife skills during the Cool as a Cucumber cooking demonstration. Saturday's market will also feature a special Red Stick Sprouts activity for the little ones outside at the Farmers Market.
