2015 Irish Film Festival
The 7th Annual Baton Rouge Irish Film Festival at the Manship Theatre will feature "Wee Irish Film Night" with 9 short films on Friday, July 31, 2015, which includes nine short films, music by Wild Irish Roots, food and a cash bar. Irish shorts to be shown are Cead Ghra'; Cutting Grass; Deadly; Land is God; Rockmount; Tea with the Dead; Under Open Skies;, The Weather Report and Rince. Audience members will have the opportunity to vote on their favorite short at the end of the night. .

Free admission to the LSU Museum of Art, the Louisiana Art & Science Museum, and the USS Kidd make downtown Baton Rouge the place to be every first Sunday of the month. Also, the LASM features reduced admission to planetarium shows and exhibits. 1-5PM.

Family Fun Month at the Kidd
August is National Family Fun Month and the USS KIDD Veterans Museum is offering families the opportunity to have fun and learn something new together at no cost. The KIDD's Family Fun Day will give families a chance to make history fun as they learn about a National Historic Landmark and enjoy family-oriented arts & crafts, music, movies and games. Several local veterans' organizations will be contributing delicious baked goods that will be sold in the museum lobby. Proceeds of this bake sale will benefit the USS KIDD.

SSO Road Closure
The I-110 Service Rd. (9th St.) from Spanish Town Rd. to North St. will have closures:
• 1 lane will be closed Friday, July 31 from 9am - 3pm.
• A full closure will occur from 7 pm Friday, July 31 through 6 am Monday, August 3.
• Traffic will be detoured using Spanish Town Rd. to N. 11th St. to North St. Interstate traffic will be directed to exit Laurel St. Residents along 9th St. will have access to their property during the closure.

Wine Walk Wednesday is an open group of wine lovers coming together in Downtown Baton Rouge every Wednesday.
