Sunday in the Park season opener!
On October 4, the fourth fall season of Sunday in the Park plans to party Louisiana style with Fete Louisiana featuring Feufollet and Cedric Watson. Both celebrate their Creole roots and spice it up with Cajun, Zydeco originals. Fiddles, accordians, and flavorful voices make the Louisiana sounds as sultry as ever to kick off the fall season.

Alternate Location for Arts Market The October 3rd Arts Market will take place at an alternate location in 5th street lot between Laurel and Main. Over 60 artists from four states will be on hand from 8 a.m. - 12 noon. We welcome 13 new artists to the Arts Market! The Arts Market regularly features free children's art activities from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon at the Arts Market's Kids Booth. The Baton Rouge Arts Market is held in conjunction with the weekly Red Stick Farmers Market and the Main Street Market.

Downtown Wine Walk!
Registration will be in the Manship / Shaw Center breezeway between Stroube's and The Roux House patio at 5:30PM. Cost for the event is $10 and allows for two free two ounce wine tastings per participating venue. Featured wines will be $4 per glass at each establishment. Chef Celeste Gill and the Fresh from the Market cooking show welcomes Chef David Reyes of Ramsay's Mansion Restaurant at Nottoway Plantation. The cooking demo begins at 10 am in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. First Saturday events also include knife sharpening by Doyle Hanson and gardening tips from the East Baton Rouge Master Gardeners. Local chocolatier Steve Lawrence is back inside Main Street Market with his delicious artisan chocolates. The Arts Market also returns this first Saturday alongside the Red Stick Farmers Market.
