The Downtown Arts and Entertainment District has transformed into a diverse and desirable place to enjoy with many restaurants, live music venues, community events, and new developments such as hotels, residential buildings, and health services.
With this diverse atmosphere, it's important to keep in mind some the East Baton Rouge City-Parish ordinances and laws regarding public drinking, sidewalk obstructions, and noise as we strive to continue a harmonious environment for all to enjoy.
Please remember it is illegal to bring an alcoholic beverage on to a public sidewalk, as well as outside of a 'special event' boundary such as Live After Five. Downtown patrons are also reminded not to loiter or obstruct city streets and sidewalks. Many residents now live in the Arts & Entertainment District. Please be respectful of the diversity in development in this area.
We encourage everyone to have a great time and be safe! Below are links to various downtown amenities and events. Thanks!
