Three downtown awards
city hall plaza & greenway

Two Downtown Baton Rouge projects have received a total of three state and national awards so far in 2019! The Louisiana Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architecture recognized two downtown public spaces, City Hall Plaza and the Downtown Greenway. The Downtown Greenway received its highest award, the President's Award of Excellence. The Associated Builders and Contractor's National Chapter also recognized the recently completed City Hall Plaza.

These recognitions are a welcome addition to the 34 downtown awards received between 2008 - 2018! We look forward to continuing the implementation of quality public spaces that catalyze new developments and continued growth downtown.

As we remain dedicated to the development of Downtown Baton Rouge, we also thank the many public officials, private developers, public agencies, non-profit organizations, and other countless individuals for their support.
