Renovations are near complete at the 35 year-old Riverfront Plaza! Originally built in 1984, Riverfront Plaza is a classic water garden style public space; a signature of the particular era in which it was designed. Although the plaza has a timeless beauty, its grounds, fountains, and accessibility needed improvement.

CARBO Landscape Architecture recommended several design and infrastructure improvements to maximize its overall appearance and decrease regular maintenance needs. Upgrades include improved ADA accessibility, lush native plantings, 'no-mow' wildflower planting areas, additional security and decorative lighting, sound system installation, and fountain enhancements. These upgrades further define individual spaces within the gardens that can be used for events and/or riverboat reception.
