A MESSAGE FROM THE DDD
july 4th downtown!
Independence day Downtown

Independence Day is right around the corner and now is the time to make plans to attend the many downtown events!

USS KIDD's 4th of July Spectacular
The USS KIDD's 4th of July Spectacular offers ice cold drinks, delicious food, a variety of musical performances, and the
WBRZ's annual Fireworks on the Mississippi beginning at 9PM. Due to the restricted access to the downtown levee we have created a MAP of preferred viewing areas which include Repentance Park, Old State Capitol Grounds, City Hall Plaza, etc.

Start getting your red, white and blue ready to shine, and join the KIDD Crew for this re-energized community event taking place on Thursday July 4th, from 4PM-10PM. The festivities will be located on the
River Road with live music performances by Smokehouse & Mamie Porter, Gal Holiday & the Honky Tonk Revue and Jonathan Long! Recommended parking is in the River Center Parking Garages or the Third Street Garage.

In addition: BREC on the Geaux will once again be hosting the Kids Zone. There will be face painting, hotdog eating contest, watermelon seed-spitting contest and much more. The KIDD will be selling watermelon slices so that you can practice early for that seed spitting contest! For more information, please call (225) 342-1942.
