Downtown is a little brighter with a few more creative installations! Through collaboration between DDD staff, Public Works, artist Marc Fresh, and the BR Wall Project, we were able to bring some unique art to two prominent downtown corridors.
Check out the River Road retaining wall art that has been named Chromatic Currents for its proximity to the river and vibrant colors. The second wall is located on Lafayette Street between Main and Laurel Streets, and has been dubbed River in Blues. The artwork pays homage to the historic shifting of the Mississippi River's course.
On any given day you can see visitors, runners, and school groups using the walls for photo ops and selfies!

In addition, please save the date of Friday, December 6th as we will celebrate the unveiling of several new green infrastructure projects including the never before seen: Rotary Centennial Sculpture!
