Swamp Pop legend Van Broussard at Studio 7 Saturday Van Broussard is no stranger to the music business. He has had one of the longest running success streaks of any group that we know of. His roots go all of the way back to 1954 when he formed his first rock group way back in 1954, almost a half century ago. Who would have ever thought that this talented individual would be just as popular in the year 2000 as he was in the fifties. His current band, the "Bayou Boogie Band" is performing all over South Louisiana in the hottest night clubs. If ever a man could lay claim to the term, "Swamp Pop King", it would have to be Van Broussard. He will be at Studio 7 in Hollywood Casino this Saturday, January 16 @ 8PM.
