A MESSAGE FROM THE DDD
STAY AT HOME ORDER
GOVERNOR'S OFFICE DECLARATION
To further combat the spread of COVID-19 in Louisiana, Gov. Edwards issued a Stay at Home Order on March 22, directing all Louisiana residents to shelter at home and limit movements outside of their homes beyond essential needs.

Click here for the governor's official order.

Guidelines for what is allowed and not allowed are outlined here.

As restaurant pick up and delivery is still allowed under the order, the DDD will continue to provide a list of downtown restaurants that are still serving. The list along with other important disaster information can be found on our COVID-19 Business and Community Resources Page.

Many of our downtown businesses such as retail, services, hotels, and attractions are also being effected.

Here are some ways in which you can support all types of local businesses:

1. Buy a gift card from any of your favorite local businesses
2. Shop local online
3. Take advantage of curbside pick-up and drop off services
4. Leave a positive review on Facebook, Google, Yelp
5. Tip your delivery driver a little more than usual
6. Keep your membership or subscription active
7. Prepay for services like a haircut, personal training, tours, etc.
8. Postpone/reschedule event reservations verses cancelling
