LSU Night of Francophone Cinema
The Center for French and Francophone Studies at Louisiana State University is proud to present the Fifth Annual LSU Night of Francophone Cinema: une nuit blanche à Baton Rouge! Now a well established Center tradition, this all-night cinematic event returns to the Manship Theatre at the Shaw Center on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until dawn!

The evening begins with an aperitif and charcuteries, followed by servings of French wine and cheese, baguettes, pastries, and desserts between each screening, ending with a French breakfast of croissants, baguettes, and coffee.

Remson|Haley|Herpin Architects, APAC wins National Design Award for ONELEVEN
The 11th annual residential architect Design Awards received 978 entries in 16 categories. Just 26 projects were singled out for accolades, making RADA the most competitive residential architecture awards program in the country. Remson Haley Herpin was the only firm selected for a Grand Award, the highest honor for a multifamily project, for OneEleven on Third Street in downtown Baton Rouge. OneEleven, a Commercial Properties Realty Trust project, has already received awards from the American Institute of Architects on the local and State levels.

River Center Expansion
The Metro Council has approved the next phase of expansion for the Baton Rouge River Center. The 19 million dollar project will include expansion of 23,000 square feet of new convention space, eight new meeting rooms, a plaza entryway off of St. Louis Street and a shade structure designed for outdoor activities on Riverfront Plaza. The expansion designed by Post Architects will begin this Spring and will be completed by the end of 2011.
