Road to a Cure Tour
Boudreaux and Thibodeaux's is hosting a ride and rally party to benefit pancreatic cancer on Saturday, March 27 from 8AM - 5PM. The party will honor pancreatic survivors who are on a ride through 50 states at over 42,000 miles. Jambalaya plates, music by Ampersand and bike raffle. Riders and non-riders welcome. $25 per person. Registration details at site below.

LA Crossroads Presents: Roddie Romero & The Hub City All-Stars
Accordions and cultures will collide at these first-ever performances featuring virtuosic bandleaders from both sides of the Sabine River. Multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Roddie Romero has been recording as a bandleader since his teens. Romero & The All-Star's latest release, "The La Louisianne Sessions," has been widely lauded as a tour de force effort bridging Cajun, zydeco and original Gulf Coast rock styles.

50th Anniversary of the BR Sit-ins
On Sunday, March 28 at 2PM at the Louisiana State Museum, catch a screening of Taking a Seat for Justice- The 1960 Baton Rouge Sit-ins, a documentary by: Rachel L. Emanuel, Ph.D. and an exhibit featuring newspaper photos and artifacts of the sit-ins with reception immediately following. At 4PM, the future home of the Kress Memorial Gallery will be open for touring. Also on Monday, March 29, at 10AM a media conference will be held to recognize the Southern Sit-in 16 and announce Awards to SULC Civil Rights Legal Writing Competition winners.

Chef Bergeron Cooks at the Market
This Saturday the Fresh from the Market show is proud to welcome Chef Don Bergeron, owner of Mid- City Market and Don Bergeron Enterprises, to cook at the Market. Chef Bergeron was recently named Chef of the Year by the Baton Rouge chapter of the American Culinary Federation. Chef Bergeron is a fan of locally grown ingredients and is a frequent shopper at the Farmers Market. Stop in, sample his farmers market creation, and see why he is Baton Rouge's Chef of the Year. The show starts at 10 AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. After the show, bring the kids to the Community Room to help create a Spring mural to be hung inside the Market. Spring will be in full swing outside at the Farmers Market as well, so be sure to buy local from your favorite Red Stick Farmers.

Third Ever Storyville Fashion Show
The third annual fashion show is going to be more original and fierce than its predecessors. Proceeds from the Storyville Fashion Show go to "From the Flames" -- an organization created to buy instruments to replace those lost by the musicians during the the New Year's Day fire at the Caterie. You've never been to a fashion show like this before.
