North Boulevard overpass bike lane approved by Council The East Baton Rouge Metro Council approved the construction of a bike lane over North Boulevard overpass last night. The proposed North Boulevard bike lane will feature a stainless steel safety railing system that will be consistent with the materials and style of the future North Boulevard Town Square. The bid was awarded to Jutcon Inc. and construction is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2010. We would like to thank the Mayor and the Metro Council for this much needed connection. The addition will connect Downtown's North Boulevard Town Square and existing/future bike paths with Baton Rouge Community College and the rest of the Mid-City area. |
