River Center East & West Parking Garages open Friday for LAF
In response to the largest turnout ever for Live after Five last week, the River Center East & West Parking Garages (St. Louis and Government Streets) will be open for public use this Friday to accomodate concert goers. As always, the Third Street Garage will also be open for parking. We encourage you to arrive early to get a good spot and visit our Interactive Map for additional parking information.

Live after Five
The spring season of Live after Five continues this Friday April 16, 5PM - 8PM with Rockin Dopsie Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters (Zydeco.) Come out to Galvez Plaza at North Boulevard Town Square for the State's premiere free outdoor concert series. Start spending your Friday evenings Downtown!

Sunday in the Park
The Arts Council and 225 Magazine will again present a variety of top-notch musical entertainment as part of the spring line-up for Sunday in the Park. Catch 484 South (Southern Rock) & Tyler Kinchen and the Right Pieces (Jazzy R&B) in Lafayette Park at the Shaw Center for the Arts from 12 noon - 3PM this Sunday!

Strawberry Jam at Market
Come to the Red Stick Farmers Market this weekend for fresh spring vegetables, Louisiana seafood and many other locally grown and produced items. This week will be the Strawberry Jam event with special cooking demonstrations focusing on strawberries. The Red Stick Farmer's Market is held rain or shine from 8AM-12PM at Fifth and Main Streets.

The Listening Room with Paquito D'Rivera at The Lyceum
On Thursday, April 15 at 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. at the "Lyceum" at 124 Third Street, The Listening Room will celebrate the music of the 9 time Grammy winner and legendary composer, Paquito D'Rivera. Local, talented jazz musicians will gather to play the music of D'Rivera as part of NEA Jazz Masters Live event. Paquito D'Rivera will be performing at the Manship Theatre the following Thursday, April 22nd, and the same Listening Room musicians will be playing their sets for Paquito D'Rivera prior to his concert.

Free electronic recycling for Downtown residents during Earth Week
Monday, April 19 through Friday, April 23 individuals that live in the downtown area will be able to drop off computer equipment free and businesses will only have to pay half-price for this entire week. ID proof of residency or business location is required. For more information on this event call 225-379-3577 or email cforbes@cacrc.com. The CACRC is located at 800 Saint Philip Street in downtown Baton Rouge across from the Sheraton Hotel. Drop off hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am - 4 pm.
