Another big weekend with lots of events planned and another great opportunity to experience YOUR DOWNTOWN!

Friday continues the Live After Five free concert series with Rockin Dopsie Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters (Zydeco) from 5PM - 8PM. In response to the largest turnout ever for Live after Five last week, the River Center East & West Parking Garages (St. Louis and Government Streets) will be open for public use this Friday to accommodate concert goers. As always, the Third Street Garage will also be open for parking. We encourage you to arrive early to get a good spot.

CATS will once again be running shuttles 4PM - 10PM from select locations on two routes. They have identified numerous FREE parking lots where you can park and ride for only $1. Click for more details on CATS shuttle.

This Saturday at 9AM, the Providence Corporate Cup 5K takes place Downtown. The Providence Corporate Cup began as a race whose purpose was to promote corporate wellness and team camaraderie. This year, they begin an intense focus on corporate wellness and being fit.

Sunday from noon until 8:45PM we have the Louisiana Earth Day celebration, with activities for all ages and live music all day. While you're at Earth Day be sure to visit Going Green in Red Stick on the grounds of the Old State Capitol for the Recycle Fair, Green Building Pavilion, and Earth Walk.

In conjunction with the exhibition George Ohr Rising: The Emergence of an American Master, the LSU Museum of Art will hold Clay Day outside the Shaw Center for the Arts where there will be demonstrations by local artist and hands-on activities dealing with clay. Celebrate Earth Day and play in the clay! The Clay Day activities will be from 1PM -5PM on April 18.
