	A MIDSUMMER'S NIGHT, JAZZ ON THE BAYOU
	Calling all jazz lovers to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our bayou state!
	Saturday, July 8^th, starting at 7 p.m. A "Midsummer's Night - Jazz on the Bayou" is the third annual event of its kind with an evening full of wonderful entertainment. Musicians include recording artist like ScoSax, guest entertainers, a brass band, and more! Proceeds from each ticket sale will go to two local non-profits serving the Greater Baton Rouge area. Join Downtown Baton Rouge at the Manship Theatre this Saturday for a night filled with soulful melodies, infectious rhythms, and the vibrant spirit of the bayou while also helping the community at this event! Tickets are now on sale at $40 plus fees.

Explore the science of chemistry during these 45-minute hands-on workshops for young scientists ages 6-12! The July workshop is "A Hair-Raising Experiment". Each participant will also receive a cool branded tote bag that includes a lab apron and safety glasses.

The Manship Theatre in the Shaw Center for the Art is hosting an exhibit of works by Kathy Dumesnil through Sunday, Oct. 8, in the Jones Walker Foyer Jones Walker Foyer, along with an artist's reception at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, July 8. Admission is free!
