A Fresh & Local Mother's Day
When shopping for Mother's Day gifts this week, remember your local producers at Main Street Market & Red Stick Farmers Market. Purchase a Market tote bag for Mom and shop the Market to fill it with artisan breads, jams, Louisiana honey, fresh cut flowers, artisan chocolates, native wines and even fresh-picked produce! Flowering plants, custom photography, or a piece of local art also make special Mother's Day gifts and can all be found at the Market this Saturday. Kids can also make a special garden gift and card for Mom this Saturday at the Red Stick Farmers Market as part of May's Garden Month activities. Chef Celeste Gill will offer tips on preparing a special Mother's Day meal using farm fresh eggs, dairy and Louisiana strawberries. The Fresh from the Market show begins at 10 AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market.
