THIS WEEK: TARA TITONE |
This week, we are highlighting one of our new DDD Commissioners, Tara Titone! Tara Titone, Director of the LSU Hilltop Arboretum, brings over 20 years of experience in leadership, fundraising, community outreach, and sustainable design. With a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture Degree from Louisiana State University, she oversees the facility for research and education, actively engaging with stakeholders. Tara, a historic homeowner in Downtown Baton Rouge's Beauregard Town, is dedicated to community, gardening, exploring the Red Stick Farmers' Market, and running through downtown, the Garden District, and the LSU Lakes with her daughter and two rescue dogs.
We also asked Tara about her favorite Downtown Mardi Gras traditions or memories, and here's how she responded: "My favorite Downtown Mardi Gras tradition is hosting friends at my home in Beauregard Town before a parade and walking to the Artemis and Spanish Town parades. I appreciate living so close to the festivities, knowing that I can partake in what I want, when I want. I love being surrounded by the positive energy downtown during Mardi Gras season."
