MESSAGE FROM THE DDD

JULY 4TH SUCCESS!
32K ATTENDEES
Downtown welcomed 32,000 visitors on the Fourth of July to experience the patriotic festivities and the spectacular WBRZ Fireworks on the Mississippi River. A special thanks to Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and Visit Baton Rouge for sponsoring the inaugural Red, White, and Blues concert. Families enjoyed free music and fireworks, light-up bicycle rides under the fireworks with Geaux Ride, and stunning rooftop views at Tsunami and the Hilton. We're already excited for next year's Fourth of July celebration and can't wait to make more unforgettable memories Downtown!

WELCOME, RYAN!

DDD SUMMER INTERN - RYAN CROWDER
The DDD is excited to introduce our summer high school intern, Ryan Crowder!

Ryan, a senior at Arlington Prep Academy, is participating in the Mayor-President Youth Workforce Experience. Throughout his time with us, Ryan has been instrumental in updating events on the DDD website, attending meetings, and collaborating on development projects. Ryan enjoys riding his bike downtown to admire the city landscapes and biking to his favorite lunch spot, Downtown Seafood.

We are thrilled to have Ryan on our team this summer!

BEAT THE HEAT!
DOWNTOWN ICE CREAM
Craving something cold and sweet to beat the heat? Downtown has plenty of options!

Follow the Get Ya Ice Cream Truck downtown and pick your favorite treat with easy debit and credit card payments. Stop by Matherne's for ice cream, snowballs, and popsicles straight from the freezer shelves to take back to your office or home. Every Saturday, savor the sweet gelato from City Gelato at the Red Stick Farmer's Market. For a classic treat, cruise to the drive-thru at Sonic or Frostop's for a rootbeer float or sundae. Not into dairy? No problem! Downtown offers a variety of refreshing options like smoothies from Smoothie King or Belli, or a frozen lemonade or velvet ice from PJ's Coffee.

Don't miss out on these delicious, cooling treats!
