Second Saturday's "Giant Gallery Game"
If the whole world can be a stage, why can't the whole museum be a game? If you've played our gallery games in the past, you won't want to miss actually being a part of the game. This month's activities aren't for the faint of art! Bring a "Take-and-Make" bag home to create your own artwork inspired by your museum visit. Farm to Table Tops
Wednesday August 11th is the last day to bid on a table! Visit www.tabletopsbr.org to pick your favorite table and bid. The auction will end at 10 PM. You can also purchase a chance to win this year's Lagniappe Table for just $10! The winning ticket will be drawn by Mayor Kip Holden this Saturday during the Farm to Table Tops Community Celebration. The festivities will kick off at 9 AM as we say farewell to the "current" tables in a jazz parade led by The John Gray Jazz Trio. The new tables will then be unveiled with a welcome and blessing by Reverend Chris Andrews. Mayor-President Kip Holden will present certificates to the youth artists that created the beautiful new tables to be displayed in the Market for the next three years. The event recognizes the unique collaboration of talented artists and community partners in a celebration of the downtown community, seasonal produce, and the arts. Please join us for the celebration complete with live music, cake, balloons and other festivities.
