'Fête Rouge: A Celebration of Food & Wine
The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society (BRES) will host a 3-day festival event in Downtown Baton Rouge called, Fête Rouge~A Louisiana Celebration of Food and Wine' featuring live entertainment, silent auction, raffle, taste fairs, cooking demonstrations and more. Taste of Tiger Tailgating
The 9th Annual Taste of Tiger Tailgating is Saturday, August 28th from 5-8PM at the Baton Rouge River Center. It's food, fun, and the biggest tailgate party of the year! Sample food and beverages from many of the best restaurants and caterers. Be sure to check out the huge assortment of LSU merchandise and collectibles.

Huey Long Symposium
Secretary of State Jay Dardenne and the Foundation for Historical Louisiana will host the Huey Long Symposium on Aug. 28-29 at Louisiana's Old State Capitol and the Old Governor's Mansion. A series of panels, a presentation by Dr. Carl Weiss Jr. and the play Who Killed the Kingfish are on the agenda. Baton Rouge Uncorked
Baton Rouge Uncorked will host a seasonal wine tasting competition benefiting LASM and Teach for America. Attendees may form teams of up to three members for the competition, which features California wines. Admission is $25. For additional information or to purchase tickets, visit:

Toyota Farm to Table Tour
The national Toyota Farm to Table Tour makes its final stop at the Red Stick Farmers Market this Saturday! Fill up your passport and earn complimentary potted plants and culinary gifts. Toyota hybrid vehicles will also be on site for test drives. Farm fresh tastings from nine area chefs and restaurants will also be offered throughout the Market using local produce and ingredients. Featured Chefs include: Terry McDonner--Juban's, Don Bergeron--Don Bergeron Enterprises, among others. Professional Networking Happy Hour at Roux House
On Thursday, July 15th from 4:00- 8:00pm The Roux House will continue their Professional Networking Happy Hour. It will be every third Thursday of the month. They have extended the time of the complimentary drinks from 4:00- 6:00pm. This will also include complimentary champagne and hors d'oeuvres. Bring your business cards and win $50 for collecting the most. The company that brings the most employees walks away with $100 tab towards a private function at the Roux House.
