'30 on the 30th'
Large Downtown beautification project, led by the Downtown Business Association, to begin with the planting of 30 oversized flower pots to liven the Downtown streetscape
The Downtown Business Association, Downtown Development District, Department of Public Works & Keep Baton Rouge Beautiful have joined together to create 30 on the 30th - Oversized Flower Pot Plantings in the Downtown area.
The Downtown Business Association, Downtown Development District, Department of Public Works & Keep Baton Rouge Beautiful have joined together to create ''30 on the 30th' in the Downtown area.
On October 30th at 9AM, 30 oversized cement pots will be placed on corners in the downtown area. Local garden clubs, downtown businesses, and others will meet at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center to be sent off to the various corners to plant the greenery and flowers in each pot.
These 30 pots will enhance the streetscape and are the first phase of a beautification plan for the downtown area. They will create a lasting first impression to our visitors and assist with the city's future economic development efforts. Through efforts of the Downtown Business Association, the pots will have continuous maintenance and care.
You are invited to come and join in the fun! We need your help to assemble the plantings on the morning of Saturday, October 30th! Please meet at the Hilton Capitol Center at 9AM. Since it is Halloween weekend, please feel free to wear a costume! We'll be by your location with Treats while you volunteer!!!
