The South Arts and The Southern Circuit Tour of Independent Filmmakers presents Artois the Goat at the Manship Theatre on Wednesday, November 17 at 7:30PM. "Virgil Gurdies doesn't eat to live, he lives to eat. Unfortunately for Virgil, his passion for fine cheese doesn't jive with his day job: manufacturing artificial flavor additives for TV dinners. When Virgil is stripped of his lab coat, he comes face-to-face with the strange inhabitants of an unfamiliar world: that of artisanal goat cheese. Discovering his passion, he buys Artois, a scrawny young buck, putting his operation in motion. Now all Virgil has to do is figure out how to explain to his girlfriend that he spent the money he was saving for her engagement ring on a goat."

BRSO presents: Mozart and Sibelius
After opening with the swelling melodies of Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, BRSO principal bassoonist Gabriel Beavers takes center stage, performing Mozart's Bassoon Concerto with the orchestra. Composed by Mozart at the tender age of 18, the Concerto is much admired for its stylish charm. In a work which is indescribably connected with the spirit of Finland, Jean Sibelius' Symphony No. 5 delights the listener with intimations of the melodic fluidity of the Finish language, every note an expression of the ethos of his homeland.
