Downtown Shuttles and Bike Path
Great transportation alternatives for LSU Home Football Games

The Capital Area Transit System (CATS) will continue its Touchdown Express Shuttle service from Downtown to LSU Home Football Games on Saturday, November 20.

The Touchdown Express Shuttle is an easy and convenient way for Tiger fans to avoid traffic congestion and parking chaos on game day, and ride comfortably to Tiger Stadium. The shuttle will provide continuous service, beginning four hours prior to game kickoff, and ending one hour after the game ends. Kick-off for this week's game against Ole Miss is at 2:30PM.

The shuttle service is only $1.75 each way ($3.50 round trip). Tickets can be purchased at the Hilton Capitol Center - 201 Lafayette Street, 225-344-5866, Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel - 103 France Street, 225-242-2600, and Galvez Plaza starting at the first pick-up time.

Individuals may park at any of our free on street parking spaces or the Third Street Parking Garage for a $3.00 charge. You can board the Touchdown Express Shuttle at Galvez Plaza, North Boulevard at Third Street, between the River Center Library and the Old State Capitol. For additional information about the CATS shuttle service, call 225-389-8920 or visit www. brcats.com.

Another option for getting to the game is the Levee Bike Path, a 2.5 mile stretch of paved pathway extending from the downtown promenade to Skip Bertman Drive at LSU.

The 15 foot wide path includes separate lanes for bicycles and walkers/joggers as well as lighting, seating and water fountains.

With the recent parking fees expanded by LSU for game day parking next year, this is a great time to try this fun alternative for getting to the game! Plenty of parking is available downtown, just visit our interactive map to pre-plan your visit and find a comfortable place to get a bite to eat before or after the game.

The busses will drop the passengers off at the corner of Nicholson & Skip Bertman Drive and pick them up after the game at Mike's Cage. The last bus headed back to Pastime will leave no later than 30 minutes after the final gun. Call them at 225-343-5490 or click for additional information.
