The Mayor's Stage
One of the main attractions of the Festival of Lights is the Mayor's Stage. It is the site of the 'grand finale' of the event, where the community comes together to officially bring in the holiday season. It is a place to enjoy great music, get your picture taken with Santa, and watch he and Mrs. Holden as they arrive atop a fire truck bringing holiday cheer and hopeful wishes for the most festive time of year! Below is a teaser of the great activities that will take place at the Mayor's Stage on Friday night!

Tree Lighting Ceremony
After enjoying the sounds of Phat Hat on the Mayor's Stage from 5:00 - 6:00pm, Mayor-President Holden will address the crowd at 6:00p.m. He will then announce the winner of Le Baton de Noel, the prize for the Storefront Christmas Decorations Contest, immediately before the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Holden and an exciting countdown for the tree lighting grand finale.

Fireworks
Immediately following the countdown and Tree Lighting, a spectacular fireworks display will light the sky over the Mississippi River cueing "oo's and ah's" throughout the crowd!
Swing Into Christmas Street Dance
After the Tree Lighting and Fireworks, the party continues on the Mayor's Stage with town-favorite Ned Fasullo and his Fabulous Big Band Orchestra playing holiday and big band favorites until 9:00pm. To get a taste of the featured music visit www.nedfasullo.com.

Christmas Books at the River Center Library
While near the Mayor's stage, don't forget to stop in the River Center Library to enjoy a large assortment of Christmas books available for check out. The new EBR Book Mobile will also be right outside with even more special holiday books for your enjoyment. You might even get a glimpse of Old Saint Nic!
