Mayor and Mrs. Holden to Lead Annual Family Bike Ride Downtown Saturday
Mayor-President Melvin L. "Kip" Holden and his wife Lois will lead the annual Mayor's Family Bike Ride starting at St. Joseph's Cathedral at Main Street and Fourth Street at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9. The ride is held each year as part of the Mayor's Healthy BR Initiative. This year's ride will take bicyclists past historic sites in Downtown Baton Rouge before returning to the Cathedral. This year's Mayor's Family Bike Ride will conclude with the first-ever "Blessing of the Bikes" on the Main Street plaza of the Cathedral of St. Joseph at 10:00 a.m. on April 9.

Live After Five at AZ Young Park
Due to the construction of North Boulevard Town Square and the new permanent stage at Galvez Plaza, Live After Five will be held at the opposite end of Third Street at A.Z. Young Park (3rd Street & Spanish Town Road.) A FREE CATS SHUTTLE will loop through the Arts and Entertainment District to drop visitors near the concert site.

2011 Spring Season continues Friday from 5PM - 8PM with U4RIA (r&b and pop.)

Sunday in the Park
The 2011 Sunday in the Park free concert series promises to usher in Spring with Louisiana style. The season continues this Sunday with Twice the Groove from noon until 3PM at Lafayette Park across from the Shaw Center for the Arts. Come and enjoy amazing live music, wonderful food, face painting and balloon creations.

Drink in your history with the Foundation for Historical Louisiana and its young preservationist sub-group, Inherit Baton Rouge! Through the Lens: Recent Works by the LA Photographic Society
