The 1st Annual Downtown Spring Art Walk coming next Saturday
The 1st Annual Downtown Spring Art Walk will be held on April 30, 2011 from 3pm - 8pm. This exciting event will be held during FestForAll and will feature original works of art inside many Downtown businesses and attractions. The Downtown Spring Art Walk is a great opportunity for the community to get to know Downtown businesses and artists while supporting the arts in Baton Rouge.

Open Week for Live After Five- No Concert
Live After Five will not be held this week in observance of Good Friday and Easter. The 2011 Spring Season will continue on Friday, April 29 with Phat Hat (party mix)from 5PM - 8PM.

Sunday in the Park open week
Sunday in the Park free concert series will also have an open week in observance of Good Friday and Easter. The 2011 Spring Season will return on Sunday, May 1 with Herman Jackson.

Main Street Market Easter Celebration on Friday
Catch Peter Cottontail hopping through Main Street Market and posing for pictures this Friday, April 22nd for the annual Easter Celebration at Main Street Market. Kids can enjoy face painting, balloon creations, cookie decorating and art activities. There will even be live bunnies! The festivities will last from 9AM to 11AM with the official Egg Hunt beginning at 9:30AM.

Louisiana Rocks!
The author, musician, and former editor, reporter, and disc jockey Tom Aswell will share Louisiana rock and roll history from his research and writing of Louisiana Rocks: The True Genesis of Rock and Roll. The book will be available for sale during the event.

Red Stick Farmer's Market
Wild-caught shrimp, Des Allemands catfish, soft shell crabs and lump crab meat make delicious entrées for Easter menus. Fresh picked spring produce will include asparagus, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, artichokes, green beans and new potatoes. Plus, don't forget to grab a bunch of fresh carrots for the Easter Bunny! The Fabulous Bagasse Boyz will also be entertaining shoppers throughout the morning. The Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration will feature chef Josh Couvillion of Oscar's Pizza and Pie Joint. The Red Stick Farmer's Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM at Fifth and Main Streets. The cooking demonstration begins at 10 AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market.
