The 1st Annual Downtown Spring Art Walk this Saturday
The 1st Annual Downtown Spring Art Walk will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 3pm - 8pm. This exciting event will be held during FestForAll and will feature original works of art inside many Downtown businesses and attractions. The Downtown Spring Art Walk is a great opportunity for the community to shop for original works of art while enjoying a great time in Downtown Baton Rouge.

FestForAll - Art & Music Festival
FestForAll is a Baton Rouge tradition. This artfully fun and family friendly art festival is an exciting art buying opportunity! Live After Five at AZ Young Park
Due to the construction of North Boulevard Town Square and the new permanent stage at Galvez Plaza, Live After Five will be held at the opposite end of Third Street at A.Z. Young Park (3rd Street & Spanish Town Road.) A FREE CATS SHUTTLE will loop through the Arts and Entertainment District to drop visitors near the concert site.

2011 Spring Season continues Friday from 5PM - 8PM with Phat Hat (party mix).

All the Right Moves at Manship
Last year, over seventy local dancers had an opportunity to shine in the original production by Debbie Allen entitled, Just Dance. Dreams and Brothers of the Knight were also choreographed by Debbie Allen and produced locally with community talent. This year, even more local dancers will take the stage at the Manship Theatre, April 28 through May 1, for her original production entitled All the Right Moves. The eclectic mixture of dances this year will include a "Bollywood" routine, a classical tap number, a ribbon work routine, a fairyland ballet and a Hip Hop explosion, just to mention a few. Red Stick Farmer's Market
Look for first of the season blueberries, English peas, baby artichokes, Vidalia onions and mayhaws this Saturday along with summer squashes, carrots, cucumbers, strawberries and tender greens. Chef Jim Urdiales of Mestizo Restaurant will be the guest chef for this Saturday's Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration. Get ready for Cinco de Mayo with his Mexican inspired recipes using farm fresh ingredients. The cooking demo begins at 10 AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. Local blues musician Kenny Acosta will also be playing his signature tunes throughout the morning in preparation for the Baton Rouge Blues Festival. The Red Stick Farmer's Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM at the corner of Fifth & Main Streets.
