The Baton Rouge Arts Market showcases original, hand-made works every first Saturday of the month from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at 5th and Main Streets in Downtown Baton Rouge. Visit all 3 locations, Louisiana Art and Science Museum, Louisiana Old State Caoitol, and LSU Museum of Art to enter for a chance to win a great gift basket for mom. Red Stick Farmers Market
Chef Nathan Gresham of Beausoleil Restaurant & Bar will join host chef Celeste Gill at this Saturday's Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration. Stop in the North Street seating area to Main Street Market at 10 AM to see chef Gresham's creation and sample the dish. Special first Saturday fun will include Liz Lope's face painting and a special art activity for kids. The Arts Market will also join the Farmers Market with over 60 artists from the Gulf Region. Music will be provided by the Lagniappe Dulcimer Society inside Main Street Market. The Red Stick Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM at the corner of Fifth & Main Streets.
