Live After Five at AZ Young Park
Due to the construction of North Boulevard Town Square and the new permanent stage at Galvez Plaza, Live After Five will be held at the opposite end of Third Street at A.Z. Young Park (3rd Street & Spanish Town Road.) A FREE CATS SHUTTLE will loop through the Arts and Entertainment District to drop visitors near the concert site.

2011 Spring Season continues Friday from 5PM - 8PM with After 8 (funk & rock).

Sunday in the Park
The 2011 Sunday in the Park free concert series will wrap-up this Sunday, May 15 with Lil' Malcolm and the House Rockers from noon until 3PM at Lafayette Park across from the Shaw Center for the Arts. Come and enjoy amazing live music, wonderful food, face painting and balloon creations.

HAART's First Annual Red Hat Run
Don your favorite rouge chapeau or funky red fedora for HAART's First Annual Red Hat Run, in conjunction with the Art Council's Sunday in the Park! Bike Fresh Bike Local at the Market this Saturday
The Capital Region Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Campaign and the Red Stick Farmers Market are teaming up this Saturday for "Bike Fresh Bike Local", a celebration of local foods and safe bicycling. The public is invited to ride bikes to the market and use the newly installed permanent bike racks located in the St. Joseph's Cathedral parking lot. Bicyclists arriving early to the market on Saturday are invited to ring the bell to signal the opening of the market at 8:00 a.m. and the weekly "Tour de Coffee" rides sponsored by the Baton Rouge Bike Club include a stop at the Red Stick Market.

Red Stick Farmers Market
Berries of all kinds will be available at the Market this Saturday. Look for blackberries, blueberries and strawberries to pair with local honey from the Market. This Saturday's Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration features Liz Holloway and Milou Barry of Bocage Honey. They will share suggestions on how to incorporate honey into seasonal recipes. They will also explain the critical role bees play in our food system and in agriculture. The cooking demonstration begins at 10 AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. The Red Stick Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM at Fifth and Main Streets.
