A Talk with Costume Designer Suzanne Chambliss
Professional costume designer Suzanne Chambliss will give a tour of the exhibition CUT! Costume and the Cinema and discuss the vital role garments play in setting the scene and bringing a film's characters to life. Complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres with admission: members free, nonmembers $7.

An Evening with Carl Lewis
The Manship Theatre announces the first program of its interview series starting in 2011. The series will be hosted by Pulitzer Prize winner Jeffrey Marx of Baton Rouge, and will feature Carl Lewis, the most decorated athlete in the history of track and field, winner of nine Olympic gold medals. Tickets to the event include admission to a post-performance party - Wendy's Birthday Bash for Organ Donation - at which guests will have a chance to meet Jeffrey Marx and Carl Lewis. Buy tickets

Red Stick Roller Derby
Red Stick Roller Derby presents Judgment Day on Saturday, May 21st @ 6:00pm. Catch a Double Header with Capital Defenders vs. Acadiana Roller Girls and then, Diables Rouges vs. Spindletop Roller Girls. Ticket prices are $12 general admission in advance and $14 at the door. The Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration inside Main Street Market will feature Malcolm Young of Malco's Magnificent Salsa sharing his favorite seasonal recipes. Stop by the North Street seating area of Main Street Market at 10 AM to watch the demonstration and sample his salsa.
