A Talk with Costume Designer Suzanne Chambliss
Professional costume designer Suzanne Chambliss will give a tour of the exhibition CUT! Costume and the Cinema and discuss the vital role garments play in setting the scene and bringing a film's characters to life. Complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres with admission: members free, nonmembers $7.

An Evening with Carl Lewis
The Manship Theatre announces the first program of its interview series starting in 2011. The series will be hosted by Pulitzer Prize winner Jeffrey Marx of Baton Rouge, and will feature Carl Lewis, the most decorated athlete in the history of track and field, winner of nine Olympic gold medals. Tickets to the event include admission to a post-performance party - Wendy's Birthday Bash for Organ Donation - at which guests will have a chance to meet Jeffrey Marx and Carl Lewis. Buy tickets

Red Stick Roller Derby
Red Stick Roller Derby presents Judgment Day on Saturday, May 21st @ 6:00pm. Catch a Double Header with Capital Defenders vs. Acadiana Roller Girls and then, Diables Rouges vs. Spindletop Roller Girls. Ticket prices are $12 general admission in advance and $14 at the door. VIP Admission is also available for $17. Come out to support our local teams and enjoy some unique entertainment! After party at Red Star.

The topic will be "Arnaudville Invasion" featuring George Marks of NUNU and beer by Bayou Teche Brewing. It will be followed by a Manship Theatre performance by Ann Savoy and the Pine Leaf Boys - tickets sold separately.

Baton Rouge 'Walk With Me'
Join the LA Easter Seals for a 2 mile walk through historic downtown Baton Rouge. Come out and join thousands of participants for the 1st Baton Rouge Walk With Me on Saturday, May 21! It's a fun, family fitness walk that may be short on mileage, but big on heart. Registration is at 8AM, race starts at 9AM.

Red Stick Farmers Market
Shoppers can find sweet corn, fresh red beans, Zephyr squash, Yukon gold potatoes, wax beans, kohlrabi and plenty of blueberries and strawberries at the Red Stick Farmers Market this Saturday. The Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration inside Main Street Market will feature Malcolm Young of Malco's Magnificent Salsa sharing his favorite seasonal recipes. Stop by the North Street seating area of Main Street Market at 10 AM to watch the demonstration and sample his salsa. Stick around for a delicious breakfast or lunch from Main Street restaurants and shop for special graduation gifts from one of our merchants. The Red Stick Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM at Fifth and Main Streets.
