Live After Five
Last Live After Five Concert of the Spring Season
The last Live After Five Concert will be held at the opposite end of Third Street at A.Z. Young Park (3rd Street & Spanish Town Road.) A FREE CATS SHUTTLE will loop through the Arts and Entertainment District to drop visitors near the concert site.

The 2011 Spring Season wraps up Friday from 5pm - 8pm with David St. Romain (contemporary country).

Blue Star Museums
This Summer @ LASM
LASM is proud to announce it will continue to offer free admission to active-duty military personnel and their families, as part of a nation wide program called Blue Star Museums. Enjoy extended hours beginning Tuesday, May 31 and ending Sunday, July 31.

Beginning May 24, enjoy the planetarium's new summer film Hurricane on the Bayou

Tuesday - Friday: 10am - 4pm
Saturdays: 10am - 8pm

Old State Capitol
The Jewel of the State Gala

This glittering event features food, spirits and the music of Luther Kent and Trick Bag. Gala tickets are $125 per person or $200 per couple and can be purchased here!

Highlight of the evening will be the drawing for a one-of-a-kind gold bracelet inspired by designs at the Old State Capitol and commissioned by Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry. Raffle tickets are $50 each and only 300 will be sold. To purchase a raffle ticket, call 219-6118.

Butterfly Extravaganza

Join noted naturalist and lepidopterist Dr. Gary Ross at the Market this Saturday to learn how to attract butterflies to your garden. Dr. Ross will speak on Butterfly Gardening at 9:30 am in the North Street seating area as a special guest for Fresh from the Market. Following the butterfly discussion, Dr. Ross will be outside at Red Stick Farmers Market to answer questions on selecting plants from Market green vendors Mizell Farms, Greenhand Nursery and Coyote Creek. There will also be plenty of peaches, sweet corn, field tomatoes, and squashes for Market shoppers! The Main Street Market takes place every Saturday from 8am - 12pm at the corner of Fifth and Main Streets.
