This summer's Discover Downtown package allows visitors to "cool off" as the River Center will be magically transformed into a huge ice skating rink.

Skating Ticket: Includes skate rental, 90 minute skating session, small drink and small candy $12

Just Peachy
Fresh Fest continues at Red Stick Farmers Market and Main Street Market this Saturday with a celebration of the peach season. Saturday's Fresh from the Market show will feature local chef Don Bergeron who will demonstrate sweet and savory recipes using Louisiana peaches. The cooking show begins at 10AM in the North Street seating area inside Main Street Market. Buddy Miller of Waterproof, Louisiana has his sweetest peach crop ever. Market Music will include Kevin Johnson playing outside at Red Stick Farmers Market and later at 11AM inside Main Street Market the Bluegrass Jam takes place with an open invitation to local musicians to join the fun. LSU Press will be on hand with several great books for summer reading. The Red Stick Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM at Fifth and Main Streets.
