Downtown Projects Update/Economic Incentives Available
Summer is heating up and so is Downtown Development

Development continues on a number of great downtown projects. The 19th Judicial Courthouse will soon welcome a long time favorite BR burger restaurant, two local churches have just undergone major renovations, and the construction of North Boulevard Town Square continues at full steam. Below are some of the exciting projects currently on the horizon.

	NORTH BOULEVARD TOWN SQUARE & GALVEZ PLAZA North Boulevard Town Square and Galvez Plaza are taking shape as construction crews continue progress on the $9.3 million development. Click here for more information.		FIRST PRESBYTERIAN First Presbyterian has just completed a landscape expansion project designed by local landscape architectural firm, Joseph Furr Design Studios. 	DEARMAN'S Dearman's is bringing their classic soda fountains and diner style lunch menu to the 19th Judicial District Courthouse building. Opening August 1st.		FIRST UNITED METHODIST First United Methodist is wrapping up a state of the art multi-million dollar expansion and renovation. To take a virtual tour, click here.
	VIKING CULINARY SCHOOL Viking culinary school on the pool deck of the Hilton Capitol Center Hotel is scheduled to open in mid September. REPENTANCE PARK On June 30, Reed Hilderbrand landscape architects unveiled the final Repentance Park re-design plans to downtown stakeholders and city officials. Click here for more information.
	HAMPTON INN & SUITES Heavy construction equipment will soon be moved on site to prepare for the construction of the new 137 room Hampton Inn & Suites at 462 Lafayette St. Click here for more information.		LAFAYETTE GALLERY The Lafayette Gallery or the historic Tessier Building on Lafayette Street will soon undergo renovations made possible by using historic tax credits.
