Smart Growth Summit 2011
Online registration will reopen Thursday. Day-of registration will be available at the event for $75. This price does not include additional $10 lunch sessions. Cash or checks made out to CPEX will be accepted. The summit is free for members of the press, students and educators.

First Annual Red Carpet Road Race
The NIGHTLIFE series presents the 1st Annual Midsummer Night's Dream Red Carpet Road Race. This race is a VIP look into the world of racing. All race participants will receive a unique race "bib" and the run will finish on a Red Carpet. All finishers receive a race medal and Paparazzi will be on hand to take your picture on the Red Carpet. All participants will receive a door prize (over $8000 in prizes), VIP after party will include a martini bar, beer, catering by Stroube's Seafood and Steaks, music by Josh Garrett and the Bottomline, and a few surprises along the way.

Local Blogger Cooks at the Market
Join Jay Ducote of the popular Bite and Booze blog for this Saturday's Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration. Jay will share his tips for preparing top notch tailgating fare with a fresh and local twist. The cooking demonstration will begin at 10 AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. 300 Seats Social Revolution
The Middle East and North Africa are scenes of emerging democracy. Culture and tradition are challenged by mobile technology, communications and twitter. 300 seats will screen an Oscar-winning short film that takes an alternative view on the Arab-Israeli conflict, host a moderated panel discussion on the role of social/web media.The event will also include a sample tasting menu of regional cuisine including taboule, moujadra and more.
