Arts Market Saturday
The Baton Rouge Arts Market takkes place every first Saturday of the month from 8:00AM until 12:00PM at 5th and Main Streets in Downtown Baton Rouge. Featuring artists from Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Florida who will present original works of art in a variety of mediums including, pottery, jewelry, woodwork, textiles, photographs, glass, paintings, sculpture, hand-made soaps and so much more. The Arts Market regularly features free children's art activities from 9:00AM until 12:00PM at the Arts Market's Kids Booth. The Baton Rouge Arts Market is held in conjunction with the weekly Red Stick Farmers Market and the Main Street Market.

First Sunday is a cooperative endeavor offered by downtown museums for free admission to events on the first Sunday of each month. Visit the LASM, LSU MOA, and USS KIDD and explore all the wonderful things they have to offer for FREE!

Red Dress Thursdays at Boudreaux & Thibodeaux's
Red Dress Thursdays is a social happy hour hosted by the McGlynn, Glisson & Mouton Law Firm, Varsity Title and this week's co-sponsor the Downtown Development District. Come out for some live music, appetizers, delicious happy hour specials and great company. Despite the title, it's a casual affair, so come as you are.

Flatbed Honeymoon at Red Star
Flatbed Honeymoon formed in the early 2000s around the songwriting duo of two Louisiana State University English professors Eric Schmitt and Randolph Thomas. The current Flatbed Honeymoon lineup has opened for the likes of Guy Clark, David Olney, and Jimmy LaFave. The self-produced album The Traveler was released in April of 2011. Come out for what is sure to be a great time.

Smith Creamery at the Market
BREADA will host a reception at first Saturday Market for the Smith's to give our shoppers an opportunity to say hello and wish the Smith's well. And it will give the Smith's a chance to thank their supporters here for their letters, support and contributions during this very difficult time. We will have cake and cookies and they will offer their chocolate milk. Please plan to stop by and say hello.
