Live After Five Fall Season opens up with Satisfaction
The Fall season of Live After Five kicks off this Friday with Satisfaction, the international touring tribute show dedicated to the "World's Greatest Rock & Roll Band". This glamorous show has been in production and touring since 2001 with over 1500 performance dates to its credit. It is the only full time touring show of it's kind in the world. This highly acclaimed production showcases the most authentic cast and costuming audiences have ever witnessed. The likes of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and supporting cast bring a colorful performance to over 45 years of classic hits. Featured in dozens of national newspapers, magazines and television ads as the greatest show ever honoring the Rolling Stones and their legacy.

George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic at Manship Theatre

The Flamethrowers at the Roux House
The Flamethrowers have been melting faces across the Gulf Coast since 2005. This high energy group of twenty somethings from Louisiana have toured extensively, opening for such national acts as Candlebox, Toad The Wet Sprocket, and Sister Hazel and have sold out large capacity venues including the Varsity Theater and The Swamp in Fort Walton Beach, FL. These four kids, all seasoned veterans of the cover band circuit, know exactly how to kick out the jams, playing the greatest Rock N' Roll party songs from the 50s to today through amplifiers that go all the way up to eleven.

Tailgaters Market
Beautiful weather is on schedule for this Saturday's Market! Farmers, fishers and food artisans will have plenty of fresh and local items for tailgating menus as LSU & Southern both host their first home games of the season. Gulf shrimp, local sausage, chicken and beef are great on the grill along with seasonal vegetable kabobs. The Arts Market will also return as special guests with over 60 regional artisans. Local food enthusiast Parker Debenport will join host chef Celeste Gill for the Fresh from the Market cooking demonstration. The cooking show begins at 10AM in the North Street seating area of Main Street Market. The Red Stick Farmers Market takes place every Saturday from 8AM-12PM at Fifth and Main Streets.

Freedom Walk and Patriot Day Ceremony at the USS KIDD
Join the USS KIDD for the annual Freedom Walk and Patriot Day observances. The Freedom Walk is a tradition reflecting on the lives lost on September 11, 2001, renewing our commitment to freedom and the values of our country, in addition to honoring our veterans, past and present. This year is the 10th anniversary of that tragic day. Patriot Day ceremonies will begin at 8:30AM on the museum grounds to honor and remember Louisiana natives lost in the Pentagon and World Trade Center attacks: Lt. Michael Scott Lamana (USN), Kevin Wayne Yokum (USN), Louis Calvin Williams, Leo Russell Keen, and Robert J. Hymel. The walk will begin immediately following the ceremony. The ceremony and walk are free and open to the public.

Rock the Roof at the YMCA
Rock the Roof is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament being held on the 7th floor roof of the Third Street Lasalle parking garage. Literally take your game to new heights as players will experience a great view of the downtown and the river. There will be 4 divisions; middle school, high school, adult and 40 years and older. Entrance cost is $50 per team and the tournament will be double elimination. Cash prizes will be given to the adult winning team while Academy Sports and Outdoors will give prizes to the winning youth team. Registration begins at 8AM.
