BR Chapter of PIA Poker Run Bring your poker face and join the Baton Rouge chapter of PIA for a day filled with adventure, fun and prizes! Whether you're walking, driving, or just watching, this is a day you don't want to miss. Everyone is welcome and participants do not need to be present to win. A Baton Rouge Chapter official will run any hands that are not collected by the individual. $30 per hand or 2 for $50 per hand, unlimited number of hands per person. Hands can be pre-purchased or bought the day of the Poker Run at Happy's between 10AM and 12PM. Participants will receive one card per location stamp acquired.

Sunday in the Park The 2011 FREE Fall Concert line-up Louisiana style. Starting on Sunday, October 2nd and continuing for 6 consecutive Sunday's downtown from noon until 3 p.m. in historic Lafayette Park across from the Shaw Center for the Arts. Come and enjoy amazing live music, wonderful food, face painting and balloon creations. Sunday in the Park is a Fall and Spring Series of free outdoor concerts in Lafayette Park at the Shaw Center for the Arts in collaboration with the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge and 225 Magazine. Brunch and music under the Oaks from noon 'til 3PM.

The Sunday in the Park series provides the public with an opportunity to celebrate community and enjoy the music in a pleasant and family-friendly environment, as well as to contribute to the on-going downtown revitalization efforts. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy brunch on the plaza provided by Sunday in the Park food vendors, Capital City Grill or neighboring downtown restaurants. Face painting and balloon creations provided by The Party Artist
