Catch the Touchdown Express and Trolley Rouge Downtown this weekend

As part of a business and community collective, the Capital Area Transit System (CATS) is excited to announce Trolley Rouge, a seasonal route that will highlight cultural, dining and shopping venues in Baton Rouge.

Trolley Rouge will run from October 1, 2011 through November 26, 2011, and will be a great way for visitors as well as locals to benefit from the panache of Baton Rouge. Passengers may board and alight from any of these three locations, and multiple stops are encouraged to fully appreciate the sites. Additionally, people may board at Crowne Plaza on Constitution Avenue and Corporate Boulevard hotels.

The route will run on Saturdays from 10:00AM until 6:00PM and Sundays from 12:00PM until 4PM. It will pass through downtown, Hollywood Casino and the State Capital area before stopping at hotels on Constitution and Corporate. It will also stop at Towne Center and Perkins Rowe before passing though the Garden District and returning downtown.

Passes can be purchased at the Hilton Hotel Capital Center, Hotel Indigo, the Crowne Plaza, other area hotels and at CATS headquarters. The cost for route is $4.00, which is the cost of a regular day pass.
